Should we still take our own website backups?

Short answer: YES!

While we take every effort to have multiple backups of your website on our end, we highly recommend that your team subscribes to a plugin which can also perform off-site backups for your website; as that is ultimately a website owner's responsibility.

We do not endorse or are affiliated with them, however, ManageWP has an inexpensive option for off-site backups at just $2 per month per website, and you can get the connection key from the website's WordPress backend and connect it to your ManageWP account.
